UWW MAGD Expo 2025

Steam

These last couple of weeks have been a crazy time: finishing up finals, graduating- oh, and getting a Steam page for Sky Die.

I still remember the beginning of the semester. I felt so much stress and pressure to be able to say, “yeah, we got our game on Steam.” However, seeing the Steam page up was all worth it.

Of course, the game itself isn’t downloadable from Steam yet. There’s still a bunch of bug fixes that need to be made for it to be deemed acceptable by Steam. Luckily, there’s a handful of people from the class that are willing to help make our dream a reality.

So, how did Sky Die become the second UWW MAGD Team Projects project to get a Steam page? Not to mention, how did it become the first one to get a Steam page during the semester? Honestly, I think we were very lucky with the cards we were dealt. I received a fantastic team of people to work with, with them consistently going the extra mile. I would be amiss to say I didn’t have a part to play as well, with my project management skills and overall motivation. It was very reassuring to hear that team members appreciated my help during our final meeting.

I shouldn’t get all sappy, at least not right now. I’m taking a week break, then it’s back to Sky Die. I can’t wait!
