Over the weekend, I did my last showcase with the Dino-Might team. It’s kinda poetic, actually- Dino-Might was first shown to the world at the same event, the Midwest Gaming Classic, two years ago. Absolutely Not Games co-owner Kevin kept referring to this event as “Brian’s Last Dance.” However, I saw it more as Brian’s New Beginning.
As much as I enjoyed my time with ANG, I still have personal goals I want to achieve. One such goal is developing and releasing Car Car Goes to Hell: The Musical. ANG has really inspired me and shown what’s possible as indie developers. During my time with them, I have learned many things that I hope to replicate with my team. Whether it be how to work as a team member or leadership styles and methods- my time with ANG was nothing short of educational.
It was really cool to be part of a team that wanted to be there. Like, not a forced group project for school. Everyone on the team was quite literally doing it for the love of the game. And wow, what a cast of characters. Just an overall really cool group of people.
So what’s next for Brian? Well, let’s just say things are going to shift into gear (haha) very soon with Car Car. I’m super stoked to talk to my team more and grow my friendships with them. Hell, here we come!
