Welcome to my website!
I’m sure you have a million questions.
“What is Zclipse Dev?”
“Who is that handsome fellow pictured above?”
“What is this website for?”
Those are some very good questions!
Zclipse Dev is derived from two things- my moniker that I ship my games by and dev-elopment, specifically video game development. The name “Zclipse” was very creatively born by combining the word “eclipse” with the letter “Z,” as I like zombie video games.
Oh, and I’m the guy pictured above- Brian Michael. I have recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I majored in Media Arts and Game Development and minored in Computer Science. My favorite game series of all time is Call of Duty Zombies. Specifically zombies. I love indie music, and I’ve been trying to learn how to make music as well. Whenever I’m not talking to someone, you can bet I have my earbuds in.
This website exists for several reasons, one of which is a place to house my portfolio. Imagine that you are an employer (unless, you are an employer- then hello!) and you ask to see my portfolio. I’d then gladly direct you to zclipsedev.com, where you can find it. Boom, starting off strong with a custom domain. And- what’s this? This guy has more than a portfolio on this website? Wait- it can’t be… a contact form!?!?
Additionally, I’ve always wanted to start a devlog on YouTube. Alas, my very busy schedule of game development and Plants vs Zombies does not permit such activities. The next best thing, of course, is to have a blog. And here we are. “Devblog.”
Thanks for stopping by. If you’re bored, feel free to check out some of my recent posts.

Creating a Custom WordPress Block
The standard WordPress blocks are great- all the essentials for one’s website needs. In case there isn’t something that they want, they can just install one of thousands of available plugins. I want to make my own plugin. I’ve been playing a lot of Balatro lately, and I feel that it would be cool to…

Secret Santa Jam 2024
It’s that time of year again! I’m sure you’re familiar with Secret Santa, but just in case, it’s an activity that takes place around the holiday season in which participants are assigned someone to get a gift for. Participants don’t know who is their gifter, and it’s always a fun surprise to see what your…

How to Send Over Data When You Can’t Send Over Data
Although the Twitch Dungeon Game needs no introduction, allow me to remind you of one of its core features: level creation. Viewers of the player’s livestream are able to create levels within Twitch using a Twitch extension (no external resources required!). Upon a viewer completing a level’s creation, the viewer will send over their level…
